At ServantCARE, we have the privilege of providing CARE for pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders who spend their lives serving others. One of the most meaningful ways we do that is by providing them with a place to rest.

When you open your home or vacation rental, you’re offering more than just a place to stay — you’re creating space for renewal, peace, and encouragement.

We are so grateful for you.

What It Means to Donate Nights

As a host, you can offer your home, guest space, or vacation rental for specific dates that work for you. Whether it’s a weekend, a few nights, or longer stays, every opportunity you provide makes a real difference.

You remain in full control of your property — including availability, house rules, and guest preferences.

A Note About Taxes

We want to be clear and transparent so you can make the best decisions for your situation.

The IRS does not allow a charitable deduction for the fair market value of donated lodging (such as nights in your home or rental property). Because of this, ServantCARE is not able to assign or provide a dollar value for donated nights on any statements or receipts.

However, if you incur out-of-pocket expenses directly related to hosting (such as cleaning or supplies), your CPA may be able to advise you on how those are handled.

What We Can Provide

While donated lodging is not tax-deductible, we are happy to provide a non-deductible acknowledgment upon request that:

  • Confirms the dates you hosted ServantCARE guests
  • Expresses our gratitude for your generosity
  • Clearly states that the donation is not tax-deductible (in accordance with IRS guidelines)

ServantCARE will not automatically send out the above to hosts. If you would like to receive a non-deductible acknowledgment, please email us at: [email protected]
